The busy festival month in Adelaide during April means there’s plenty to enjoy there – food, wine, entertainment, spectacular garden tours – let alone golfing, winery visits, fine dining and wining and other pleasures we have arranged for you.

Join the Barossa Vintage Festival, Australia’s largest and longest running wine tourism festival, In this nine-day biennial event held during Easter, highlights range from food and wine, arts and craft, to music and heritage history amid a carnival atmosphere. And with the Stirling Autumn Garden Festival to kick off on 19 April, some of the region’s oldest and most famous private gardens, such as Boxwell Gardens, will be open to the public.

Besides joining in such events, you can also enjoy golfing in some of Australia’s scenic courses, tasting of premium wine at three top vineyards in Barossa Valley; enjoy the marvellous experience of food-wine pairing at the finest restaurants and convenient chauffer-driven van services.

Spending just a few days under Adelaide’s cool, balmy weather will leave you refreshed and recharged!

Day 1
HK>Adelaide > Barossa Valley

Day 2
(Barossa Valley)

AM: Arrival at Adelaide airport and transfer to special van bound for Wolf Blass winery

PM: Winery visit, Enjoy lunch in the winery restaurant (at own expense). Then visit Wolf Blass’s famous vineyard. For the wine tasting session, upgrades have been arranged for you to savour the best Black Label and Platinum label wines. Drop by at neighbourhood stores for native souvenirs and products

Evening: Check into Novotel Barossa Valley Resort, a restful haven nestled among the vines, located adjacent to the 18-hole Tanunda Pines Golf Course and boasting panoramic views across the Barossa Ranges and Jacobs Creek Vineyards. After settling in, proceed to a local restaurant for dinner (at own expense) by a chauffeured van.

Day 3
Barossa Valley

AM: After breakfast in the hotel, take the special van to Penfolds winery. Join the “Make Your Own Blend” activity, where you try blending your own wine from Grenache. Shiraz and Mourvedre at the Winemaker’s Laboratory. The wine is then presented in a personalised bottle for you to take away.

PM: Lunch at own expense in Vintners Bar & Grill. Following a delicious meal, the van will take your group to the 18-hole Barossa Valley Golf Club for a game of about 4 hours and 30 minutes. At the Barossa Valley Golf Club, you can enjoy a relaxing game of golf in a true bush setting complimented by the wild life. Kangaroos wander the course as you play and bird fanciers will be delighted by the rare bird life spotted there.

Evening: The van will drop your group off at a restaurant, a hot favourite among locals, for dinner (at own expense), then fetch you all back to the hotel. Stay in Novotel Barossa Valley Resort for the night.

Day 4

Barossa Valley

AM: Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and proceed to Jacob’s Creek winery by van. Feel free to explore and join the winery tour. Jacob’s Creek has been named the number one winery in the world for 2008 based on the wines receiving 219 awards at major shows around the world.

PM: Lunch at the winery restaurant (at own expense). Then transfer by van to Tanunda Pines Golf Club for an 18-hole game. Tanunda Pines Golf Club is a stunning 18 hole, par 72, championship golf course set in the heart of the Barossa Valley, with an abundance of native bird and animal life, one hundred year old gum trees line fairways that undulate across hilltops.

Evening: Dinner (at own expense) at the restaurant of Novotel Barossa Valley Resort., with table reservations made in advance.

Day 5
Barossa Valley, Adelaide

AM: After breakfast, check out of the hotel, before setting off the Gawler Golf Club. This is an 18-hole, par 72, 6095 metre course located at Sandy Creek, providing the complete golfing experience with superbly manicured greens and a picturesque layout featuring several well positioned lakes

PM: Proceed for lunch at own expense after the game. After this, return to the hotel and collect your luggage, then transfer to Adelaide Rockford hotel for check in. Located in Adelaide city centre, this boutique style hotel is a non smoking 4 1/2 star accommodation that provides the highest level of guest comfort and quality with spacious, modern contemporary style rooms. Free time to explore the neighbourhood.

Evening: Dinner at own expense. Stay in Adelaide Rockford hotel for the night.

Day 6
Adelaide
On day-6 guest have a full day free at leisure.

One-day excursion in Adelaide (guests are required to bear the entire expenses for the day’s itinerary):

AM: After breakfast, check out of hotel and transfer to Beerenberg Strawberry Farm, where your group can purchase fresh strawberries and other products as part of a one and half hours tour.

PM: Depart from the strawberry farm to Mt. Lofty Summit Restaurant for lunch at own expense. With spectacular panoramic views of Adelaide and surrounds just 20 minutes drive from the city, Mount Lofty Summit is at 710 metres above sea level. Visit the Mt. Lofty Lookout for photo taking.
On the way back, visit the quaint German village of ‘Hahndorf ’ with its many and varied unique shops, galleries and pubs. The van will also take your group to Glenelg Beach, which leads to Jetty Road, with both sides lined with fabulous retail stores along the way. Enjoy a relaxing time along the beach.

Evening: Tables at a decent local restaurant have been reserved for you in advance for dinner (a own expense. After dinner, return to Rockford hotel for the night.



Day 7
Barossa Valley, Adelaide - Airport

AM: After breakfast, check out of hotel and transfer to the airport by van to board the return flight to Hong Kong on CX 104 around noon. Arrive in Hong Kong at 2145 hours on the same day.
