PM: Arrival and Transfer

Arrival in Penang on a direct flight from Hong Kong (CX 693) and transfer to one of the best local restaurants May Garden Palace famous for its Roasted Suckling Pig, Sweet & Sour Crab, Grilled Pacific Cod Fish and even Shark Fin, as highly recommended by Chua Lam (蔡瀾).

EVE: Sleep in a luxurious century-old colonial-style hotel

Situated in Georgetown at the intersection of Farquhar Street and Penang Road, the Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang provides a restful accommodation venue for you and your fellow travelers amid an amazing heritage of art and yesteryear architecture. From its foundation by the Sarkies brothers in 1885, the E&O has been patronised by colonial administrators, planters as well as the local and international elite. Among its more famous guests are Noel Coward, Douglas Fairbanks, Hermann Hesse, Rudyard Kipling and Somerset Maugham. Today, it is still the choice for many of the world's most discerning travelers. The E&O is just a few minutes walk away from a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs.

Day 02: Penang

AM: Golfing pleasure and tantalizing Nonya cuisines
Breakfast is followed by a morning tee at Penang Golf, a golf resort nestled within the masterplan of a new township. Designed by Graham Marsh, a golfing great and world-renowned golf course architect, it challenges players of all golfing capabilities and temperament with three sets of tees, tree-lined and landscaped lush fairways culminating with well-manicured verdant greens.

PM: Hot Wok rocks

After golfing, transfer to the famous Nonya Restaurant Hot Wok for dinner. The concept of Hot Wok is to provide diners with an ambience which is rich with Nonya heritage and culture. 'Nonya' food comes from the Peranakans, people descended from inter-marriages between early Chinese settlers and Malay women. Nonya food synthesises Chinese and Malay cooking styles, and draws further inspiration from the spices and flavours of Indian and Indonesian cooking. The result is a unique and exquisite cuisine.

EVE: Stay at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang

Day 3: Penang - Ipoh

AM: Penang to Ipoh with golfing in between

Check out of hotel in the morning and proceed to Meru Valley Golf Club for a 18 hole golfing session. Meru Valley's layout offers very pleasant and contrasting scenery on its Valley, Waterfall and River nines. The Valley and Waterfall form the best combination, both initially sloping down and away from the dome-topped clubhouse and quickly entering an enchanting environment of jungle-lined holes and others in more open terrain. Cascading streams run through both the front and back-nines, creating several fairway crossing and flanking water bodies.

PM: Historical chic

Proceed to Ipoh for a city tour. Embedded with historical elements during the times before Malaysia gain its independence, Ipoh earned its fortunes on the tin trade. Today, it has become a modern metropolis home to over half a million people. It has several good landmarks and attractions to visit, including the Ipoh Railway Station, which combines Gothic and Moorish architecture with modern embellishments; Birch Memorial Hall and Sam Poh Tong, a Chinese temple built inside a lime cave.

For dinner, you’ll be taken to a famous restaurant to try the iconic chicken hor fun with yellow bean sprouts (老芽菜雞沙河粉), seafood and roast crocodile meat. Then savour the exotic white coffee.

EVE: Downtown accommodation nestled in elegant colonial building

Accommodation for the night will be Impiana Hotel located at the heart of the city, just a stone's throw away from the commercial and financial districts. Shopping centres are within walking distance.

thoughtful reminder : as our previous guests have indicated, there is not much choice in Ipoh and the newly refurbished Impiana Hotel looks to us as the best option and our guests are offered the luxury and comfort of a suite room. For more exotic style of accomodation, our guests can consider a small boutique restaurant hotel called The Indulgence Living & Restaurant with supplement surcharge possibly.
Day 4: Ipoh – Cameron Highland

AM: Golfing charm

Check out of the Hotel at Ipoh and proceed to Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Club, with its fabulous championship layout amid an idyllic backdrop of several large, lily-fringed lakes are the key ingredients that ensure its ranking as one of Asia's best golf courses. In this quiet and very natural environment, large, attractive rainwater trees give the front-nine a distinctive, mature parkland character. There is usually enough space between the trees to encourage use of the big driver from the tee.

PM: Being one with nature on a tea plantation

Travel by coach to Cameron Highlands, one of Malaysia's most popular holiday destinations, situated high above the clouds on a nest of serene mountains. Here, take a sip of refreshing Boh tea grown in the local plantations, accessible by foot from the hotel you will be staying in.

EVE: Colonial fix

Stay at Cameron Highlands Resort, one of the world’s five best plantation hotels according to the authoritative UK daily The Independent, will be your place of accommodation for the night. Dinner will be in a restaurant serving the Cameron Highland steampot, a delightful gastronomic experience in the cool evening.

Day 5 – Cameron Highlands
AM: Idyllic setting
Enjoy a leisurely tour of a strawberry farm after breakfast, where you can pluck the juiciest strawberries for your own tasting. Some of these plants are of Dutch and American origins. Visit the Cactus Valley, distinguished by a mock giant cactus replica at the entrance, which boasts some 60 species of the plant. There are plenty of nurseries on Cameron Highlands and some double up as farms selling fresh vegetables and exotic plants. Take your pick!
PM: Golfing at Cameron Highland Golf Resort

Situated in a valley some 5,000 feet above sea level, Cameron Highlands Resort golf course is a Malaysian layout that is both alluring for its challenge and scenic views in a cool pleasant environment. It is a well maintained 18-hole tract made up of smooth, rolling Cowgrass fairways and Serangoon greens with mature trees standing sentinel.

EVE: Stay at Cameron Highlands Resort for the evening.

Day 06: Cameron Highlands - Kuala Lumpur

AM/ PM: Golfing in Templer Park Golf Club near KL, Malaysia

Be prepared for a long day ahead. Check out of the hotel early in the morning and transfer to the Templer Park Country Club near Kuala Lumpur on a journey that will take two hours 45 minutes. The layout of the golf course was designed by Jumbo Ozaki set against the scenic backdrop of Takun Mountain that creates a very special feel to Templer Park Country Club. This exquisitely sculpted landscape and beautiful undulating fairways will surely charm golfers.

Transfer to Kuala Lumpur after golfing.

EVE: Heights of Luxury

Stay in the opulent Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. Located downtown between the flowering gardens of Kuala Lumpur City Centre Park and the soaring heights of the Petronas Twin, this distinctive five-star luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur has the city’s most impressive views, with convenient access to upscale shopping, dining and entertainment.
